2006Europe's largest water-sports mail-order business Compass Yachtzubehör, oldest and loyal customer of Satzmedia, extends its international activities at the start of the New Year. Satzmedia E-Commerce-technologies are now served to the French market as well. katalog.de is the new Catalog-Portal online, created in cooperation with the 'Bundesverband des Deutschen Versandhandels e.V.' (BVH), the prime institution of the mail-order sector in Germany, counting over 240 member businesses and representing 70% of the sales in this sector. The portal, realized entirely by Satzmedia, enables BVH member businesses to present their print catalogs, order them, or- if desired-even to leaf through them interactively page by page. The cooperation with BVH underlines Satzmedia's close and good contact to the mail-order sector. The extremely complex marketing product database of Montblanc Inernational GmbH is further extended and the next issue of the product catalog, published in eight different languages, was printed. The system develops into the core application ensuring availability of Montblanc product information in various output media, such as montblanc.com, CD-ROM's or the company's worldwide E-commerce activities. HellermanTyton, world market leader for cable bundling, fastening and labeling systems introduces a new intranet, developed by Satzmedia, to support its worldwide marketing. It consists of business intelligence applications ensuring cost-effective collaboration with its various functions, such as internal product presentation, Yellow Pages for employees, Newspush or indexed contributions to company-specific topics. In Hannover, the pre-sales checkout at the 'Künstlerhaus' (artist mansion) is known especially because its where the tickets to 'Kleines Fest im großen Garten' (small celebration in the big Garden), t h e open air event in the 'Herrenhäuser Gärten' (Herrenhaus gardens). The implementation of the entire website, including a small Content Management System, could be claimed by Satzmedia. At the "Mail Order World" exhibition in fall 2006, Satzmedia Catalog presented an absolute novelty: An ASP-Solution for the automated production of interactive catalogs. With this software, customers can cost-effectively create interactive catalogs. For this, Satzmedia provides the intuitive software and the server, which is accessible day and night. In 12 pre-designed steps, print artworks are transformed into fully functional Flash and/or JPG-versions. Additionally, Satzmedia arranges monthly workshops in Hamburg, where the specialists further explain the system and its special features to its prospective and established clients. Of course Satzmedia Catalogs still creates catalogs individually as a complete service for its customers. The second-largest E-Commerce provider worldwide, Hamburg based 'OTTO' concern, extends its sale activities to Russia. The entire Russian online platform at www.otto-online.ru was implemented by Satzmedia and runs on our servers. Ongoing supervision of the project is taken over by the Satzmedians as well.
