Interesting projects spring from the numerous new contacts acquired inter alia during the Mail Order World in 2004 in Wiesbaden. Interactive catalogues continue to be a hot topic in the trade sector.
Additional to the hot-linked PDF catalogues, we offer hot-linked JPG-catalogues, which make usage even more comfortable for our customers.

Among our new customers at the end of the year are: Satples, Obi@Otto, Conrad, Peter Hahn, Baur and Bettmer. The Satzmedia platform www.cataloglister.de advances to become a true shopping-Portal.
The "Music á la carte" shipping company JPC is won as a constant online-catalogue-Customer. Since August 2005, the JPC courier is available to the music lover as a monthly interactive magazine.
Our existing customers, such as Globetrotter, B.O.C. and Louis continue to rely on the well proven technology and thus not only their main catalogues, but also additional catalogues and flyers appear online as interactive opportunities to order.

The first catalogue on CD-ROM is implemented in collaboration with the educational material provider PHYWE System GmbH & Co KG and enters German classrooms.

The Compass internet appearances in Austria and the Netherlands are relaunched successfully. Also, the E-Commerce-Success story of Compass Yachtzubehör is continued with its 4th and 5th national shops.
This success is supported by increased e-mail-marketing efforts, especially via the circulation of newsletters. Satzmedia takes a substantial part in the conception and assumes control over the entire coordination and implementation in all countries.
Compass's satisfaction is confirmed by its order for another online-shop. From 2006 onwards, Satzmedia also supervises the Compass appearance in France.

The competence and flexibility of Satzmedia proven in the implementation of the interactive catalogue has obviously satisfied CHRIST Jewelers. The company based in Hagen (belonging to the Douglas Holding) decides in favor of the established shop-technology of Satzmedia GmbH. In April, after record-breaking implementation time, the new online-shop is launched and supervised entirely by Satzmedia. The online-shop is supplemented by a sophisticated search function and product-filtering during the course of the year. Furthermore, newsletter-marketing for CHRIST is orchestrated by Satzmedia.

After the word about its flexible and competent project-work has spread within Douglas Holding, Satzmedia can be pleased with the order for a Backoffice-Application for Douglas online-shops at the end of the year.

Before the start of the sailing season 2006, the internet appearance of Charterer Scansail has to be transferred into a new contemporary design. Concept and design are developed in close collaboration with Scansail and implemented completely by Satzmedia. The task is to present the extensive information about the yachts clearly and intuitively. All technical data about the yachts together with images for the picture galleries are saved in a central database and can be administered by the means of a backoffice.

For the institute of interdisciplinary medicine at 'Asklepios Klinik St. Georg' (a leading center for HIV treatment), the online-platform "RADATA" is created. RADATA is an expert system aimed at optimizing antiviral therapy decisions and the documentation and analysis of etiopathologies.
Furthermore, a Content Management System (CMS) is introduced for the re-launch of the internet appearances of the institute, which comprises of three corporations. Satzmedia takes over the entire implementation of the system and readies it for content filling. This way ifl can administer the internet appearances flexibly and independently.

Montblanc International GmbH orders a media-independent product database. This one "feeds" the homepage www.montblanc.com with all product information. Above all, however, the system enables Montblanc to create the trade catalogue, which is published in eight languages, as a printable PDF document via an automated process. Development begins in fall and is expected to be finished by mid-2006.

In September, Satzmedia wins Hellermann Tyton as a new customer. Hellermann Tyton is the leading supplier of products for binding, affixing, protecting, marking and processing of cables and lines as well as their connection components. Based in Hamburg, Hellermann Tyton is represented in over 30 countries with about 6000 employees worldwide.
For better presentation and maintenance of the company's products, internet and intranet systems are to be reconstructed completely. A CMS system is used for this project as well.

Yet another year, Satzmedia exhibits at Mail Order World, the fair associated with the shipping industry congress in Wiesbaden. Thomas Lipke, CEO of Globetrotter and Satzmedia CEO Christian Satz together hold a lecture at the congress about experiences with online-catalogues and their future perspectives.
Customer relations are further expanded and new contacts made.

Due to the favorable order situation, 13 employees belong to Satzmedia at the end of the year. Half of them are software-developers, resembling the company's technical competence. The turnover has increased and Satzmedia finishes this year with a profit again.
Satzmedia jumps from place 175 to 120 in the New Media Service Ranking, issued yearly by the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft BVDW (German Association of Digital Economy) together with the specialty media Hightext-Publishing, Horizont and W&V. It places 6th in the category 'fastest growing agency'.
