2004The Satzmedia GmbH can still claim never to have lost a customer. This fact ensures the basic business so important for the agency and resembles the high customer satisfaction. We continue to develop internal applications for the home improvement chain Max Bahr, for example a Java-based PDA-application to support employees with wireless product- and order-management in the spacious stores. For the water sports mail-order business Compass, the order for two new shops in the Netherlands and Austria is placed. Therewith, Satzmedia GmbH supervises the entire IT in six European countries. In the year 2004, too, Sportscheck relies on the proven flexible project-work of Satzmedia and orders marketing- and special offers for its event sector. In the second half of the year, a new product of Satzmedia Katalog GmbH, the interactive PDF-catalogues, advances to become the latest gossip amongst the shipping industry. Not only are numerous established catalogue-shipping businesses such as the motorbike specialist Louis, bicycle mail-order business B.O.C. or the poster and T-shirt Merchandiser CloseUp won, but also Christ Jewellers decide in favor of the clickable PDF-catalogue with a direct link to the Online Shop. Various manufacturers' catalogues are, additionally to their own product manuals, transformed into interactive PDF-catalogues for the signed customer Globetrotter. In October, Satzmedia exhibits again at the MailOrderWorld / the shipping industry congress in Wiesbaden. Interesting new contacts promise an auspicious year 2005. Satzmedia completes the year 2004 with a profit another time in a row. 2003The year starts with a relaunch. A fresh breeze blows through the design of the Compass24-appearances and presents a maritime flair in a contemporary design. The shipping company Egon Oldendorff is also set up for seafaring. The crew-database, used to hire and administer seafarers worldwide, is completely redeveloped by Satzmedia in order to meet the current demands. In the innovations sector, the division Satzmedia Katalog GmbH has developed a unique product: The link of online-shops with product and shipping catalogues via interactive PDF's. Well-known outdoor supplier Globetrotter is won as a Satzmedia customer through this innovation. The Globetrotter catalogue is presented as a "virtual manual" on its homepage www.globetrotter.de. Numerous other customers for the interactive PDF software are won during the course of the year. The performance of Satzmedia GmbH in November at the shipping industry fair in Wiesbaden is exceptionally successful. It enables Satzmedia not only to intensify the relations with numerous existing customers, but also to win eight new customers for its products. Satzmedia carries out an extensive marketing-campaign in collaboration with the specialist journal of the sector called 'Versandhausberater'. For the duration of the fair, Satzmedia evaluates the E-Business-behaviour of shipping businesses via a poll. Furthermore, Christian Satz holds a lecture about innovative e-commerce business models at the fair. The foundation stone for partnership between Satzmedia and Stibo A/S is laid at the Wiesbaden fair too, and leads to a close cooperation of both companies in developing specialized e-business-solutions for the administration of catalogue-data of large businesses. In 2003 Satzmedia developers also continue to support the IT-demands of Max Bahr on various business levels. By its entry to programming and individual adjustment of portal-technologies, Satzmedia extends the company's service sector to yet another E-Business-sector and successfully implements portal-programming in a specialized portal for the health sector.
